Lukas Claessens works as an architect, photographer and new media artist based in Brussels, Belgium. In 2017 he graduated as a master in architecture at the KULeuven with an awarded master research “FRAGMENTS; gates to re-experience”.
This thesis defined the start of his practice and artistic research around “the re-experience of space and time”, quickly followed by a contribution to a couple of group exhibitions: Z33 (Hasselt), Nucleo (Gent), Ithaka (Leuven). In addition, he was working as a productional coordinator for the artistic office "Gijs Van Vaerenbergh" and HORST Arts & Music Festival. At present, Claessens is lecturing at KULeuven faculty of architecture and active as an architectural photographer.
